Studies show that ladies who are between the ages of 20 and 24 are at the greatest risk of experiencing non-fatal intimate partner violence and the highest rates of rapes and sexual assault. Teenagers between the ages of 16 and 19 experience the highest rates of stalking and 1 out of 5 tweens, ages 11 to 14 say report that their friends have been victims of dating violence and nearly half who are in relationships know friends who are verbally abused.
Rape: the offence of forcing a person, too submit to sexual intercourse against that person’s will. Types of rape are date rape, gang rape, spousal rape, rape of children, statutory rape, prison rape, war rape, corrective rape, and custodial rape. An average of 233,986 Americans age 12 and older are sexually assaulted each year. Every 2 minutes, someone in the US is sexually assaulted.
